Tonight, Tuesday June 19th, is the first class of the Oakland Kajukenbo Kwoon Summer Training Session. Everyone age 12 and older is welcome-curious community members, new beginners, ranked colored belts or Sifus!
Classes will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8pm. The Summer Training Session is broken into three two week intensive study sections.
Section One June 19, 21, 26, 28 Judo and Jujitsu
Section Two July 10, 12, 17,19 Eskrima
Section Three July 24, 26, 31, August 2 Skills and Practice for Public Kajukenbo Demonstrations
Students are welcome to come to any and all of the summer training schedule, drop in the middle of a given section or only participate in one section. Balance that openness with the understanding that training in the martial arts demands repetition of basic skills, building relationships with partners and the concentration that implies in order to benefit from the effort. Choose a training schedule that is possible but challenging and stick to it.
